Follow the drama of the personal and professional lives of seven Jersey stylists that naturally includes some remarkable Italian-American characters as they make over customers, flaunt their distinct style, and gossip with customers. The Gatsby Salon, is run by the business savvy mother/daughter team of Gayle and Christy. The drama is fuelled by Olivia, a young but bold makeup artist who’s trying to make it on her own, and Tracy, an overly confident hair stylist who loves battling with Olivia for attention – especially over the same man!

Gayle & Christy want to do a promotional event to build business: Garden State Gatsby Girls: A Mother and Daughter Event, where moms and daughters get hair, makeup and nails together. Since Christy can’t be on her feet all day, Gayle and Christy decide they should bring in outside help to do the event. Gayle decides to hire Lauren Rae Levy who runs her own company specializing in styling and stylish events. Olivia can help Lauren and learn from her too. LRL annoys the stylists. The event runs long and almost keeps the stylists from attending Anthony’s grand opening too. Olivia and the stylists pull together, bond over their dislike of the event planner and do a great job. They even make it to Anthony Roberts Salon by the end of the day.
