TLN Serie A Soccer Pool 2008/09 Official Rules:
HOW TO ENTER:
No purchase necessary. The TLN Serie A Soccer Pool (*soccer pool) begins on September 22, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59pm ET May 31, 2009 ("TLN Serie A Soccer Pool Closing Date"). Enter the TLN Serie A Soccer Pool by visiting www.tlntv.com, click on the Soccer Pool entry button and complete the registration form. After registering, log on to the TLN Soccer Pool each week and enter your soccer picks for a chance to win great prizes! TLN's Serie A Soccer Pool will test your knowledge of Italian Championship Soccer and asks players to predict the outcome of all the weekend matches this season from September 2008 to May 2009. Please refer to schedule for the dates and matches for each Game week. Confirm your selections by clicking on the "Enter Picks Now". **Note the weekly deadlines to enter picks. Only one entry per Player and email address is allowed per Game week. Once picks are placed for the week they can not be changed until the following Game week (Monday).
ENTERING PICKS FOR GAMEWEEK PERIOD/DEADLINES
The TLN Soccer Pool includes all select weekend and mid-week matches scheduled to be played from September 22 2008 to May 31 2009.
- ALL PICKS FOR WEEKEND GAMES CAN BE ENTERED BETWEEN SUNDAY (MIDNIGHT) AND FRIDAY (UNTIL MIDNIGHT) OF EACH GAME WEEK AND RE-OPEN THE FOLLOWING SUNDAY (MIDNIGHT).
- IN THE EVENT THAT MID-WEEK GAME, BIDS MUST TO BE PLACED BETWEEN SUNDAY (MIDNIGHT) AND TUESDAY (UNTIL MIDNIGHT) OF SELECT GAME WEEKS.
- FOLLOWING MID-WEEK MATCHES; RESUME PLACING YOUR BIDS FOR WEEKEND GAMES BEGINNING WEDNESDAY (MIDNIGHT) UNTIL FRIDAY (MIDNIGHT).
No submissions will be accepted after the deadline for any reason.
PRIZE:
There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting of tickets for you and 3 friends to attend a soccer game at BMO Field in TLN's private VIP suite in 2009 where you will be joined by the TLN Soccer Fanatics, including popular host of Serie A Soccer, Alf De Blasis. The prize also includes refreshments in the suite. The selected entrant (the "Winner") and guest(s) shall be responsible for all travel expenses, (including and not limited to ground transportation to and from the airports, accommodations, gratuities, all meals, applicable taxes, incidentals and any and all other expenses not specified in the above description of the Grand Prize Package.) Winner and guest must follow all instructions of the Promotion Representative, the venue organizers, and the facility staff or participation in the Grand Prize Package may be forfeited, in whole or in part. Prize must be accepted as awarded with no cash alternative or other substitute, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Approximate retail value $750 CDN.
There are two (2) Secondary Prizes to be won, consisting of $1000 cash. One (1) to be awarded at the end of mid-season play and the second $1000 prize to be awarded at the end of the Serie A season.
There are also weekly thirty-five (35) weekly prizes awarded to the top scorer consisting of a variety of TLN prize packs. Approximate retail value of a prize pack $25 CDN.
DRAWS:
One (1) Grand Prize winner will be notified within 2 weeks of the Pool closing date. The selected entrant will be notified by phone and must respond within (5) five business days of notification. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted after three (3) attempts within five (5) business days of the draw date, or if for any other reason the prize cannot be awarded, that selected entrant will forfeit the opportunity to win the Grand Prize and another entry will be randomly selected and so on until the Grand Prize has been awarded. To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, at a mutually convenient time, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant and his/her three (3) guests will be required to sign and return a standard declaration and release, confirming compliance with the contest rules and acceptance of the prize awarded and releasing the Sponsors from all liability, failing which another entry will be drawn. The signed Declaration and Release Form must be returned within the time period specified on the Form or the prize will be forfeited and another entrant will be selected, and the process above will be repeated until such time that there is a confirmed prize winner.
NOTE:
In the case of a tie of the top scoring position a random draw will be held to decide the winner.
ELIGIBILITY:
To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Canada who has reached the age of majority in his/her province or territory of residence on or before September 22, 2008, and who is not an employee of or domiciled with an employee of the Sponsor and its advertising and promotional agencies, partners, independent judges and any of their affiliated companies or a member of any such employee's immediate family or persons with whom they are domiciled. In these Official Rules, "immediate family" includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters or spouse.
GENERAL:
- All entries become the property of the Sponsor who assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, destroyed, incomplete, illegible or misdirected entries, and none will be acknowledged or returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrants.
- The Sponsor does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing or typographical errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Sponsor and the independent contest organization are not responsible for electronic communications which are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind or insufficient space in entrant's mailbox to receive email messages. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Any attempts to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Soccer Pool is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution and to disqualify an entrant from the Soccer Pool or any other promotion conducted by Sponsor now or in the future. In the event it is determined that an entrant has entered in a manner contrary to these rules, the entrant and all of the entries submitted by the entrant will be disqualified.
- In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, entries made online will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet service provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail addresses. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder for the e-mail address associated with the winning entry.
- By entering, entrants agree to abide by the Soccer Pool rules and the decisions of the independent judging organization, which are final. Entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies, business partners, advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns and all others associated with the development and execution of the Contest (collectively, the "Releases"), from and against any and all manner of action, causes of action, suits, debts, covenants, contracts, claims and demands, including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach and liability for physical injury, death, or property damage which the entrants or his/her administrators, heirs, successors or assigns might have or could have, by reason of or arising out of the entrant's participation in the Contest and/or in connection with the acceptance or use of the Grand Prize.
- By entering, the selected entrant agrees to authorize the Sponsor to publish the winner's name, address (city only), photograph and/or image or other likeness including on videotape in any forthcoming publicity, without further remuneration.
- By entering this Contest, entrants consent to the use of their personal information for purposes of administering the Contest in accordance with the privacy statement outlined at www.winacampinovespa.ca. Personal information will be destroyed following the end of the Contest and the awarding of the prize.
- The Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising materials, the contest rules, the selection and announcement of winners or the distribution of prizes.
- The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest for any reason, without prior notice, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux.
- For Québec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of this publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. j. This Contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and is void where prohibited.
